Summer was the only girl in a litter of three, but she let her brothers know she was the boss! With a demeanor that is nothing but sweet and loving, Summer was a standout at Overlook. She asked for little except when she wanted a tummy rub. Then, she threw herself down and looked at us with that "here you go, give me some loving!" expression. That was a genetic trait passed down from her mother, Sunday!

Summer had her first litter of ten puppies in April 2016 and was the perfect Mom. Those puppies have grew up beautifully and were the perfect next generation of Overlook dogs. Summer's second litter was born in November 2017 and her daughter, Sierra, joined the crew.
In June 2019 Summer had her third litter sired by CH Stoneledge Out of the Blue. A stunning dog and perfect match.

Sadly and tragically, we lost Summer very suddenly at just ten years old. She had been living with close friends of ours who own her brother, Sundance and her older sister, Sadie. They noticed she seemed to have problems navigating steps and the floor and wondered if there was something wrong with her eyesight. Before they could see a specialist, she collapsed with seizures that could not be brought under control, despite all the best veterinary care. The seizures, combined with her eyesight issues, led the specialist to believe that Summer had a brain tumor. Her loss haunts us and the family who loved her so deeply.
